FAQ
Is the software user-friendly for beginners with no VR experience?
PsyCurio is ideally suited for beginners without VR experience, as it has been specially developed for user-friendliness and intuitive navigation. In addition, our full customer support ensures that you receive personal support and assistance with any questions you may have.
For which diagnoses can PsyCurio be used?
PsyCurio is a VR solution assisting treatment for a range of disorders including social phobia, depression, nicotine addiction and alcohol dependence. It also contains modules that focus on specific anxiety disorders, such as acrophobia and claustrophobia. In addition, universally applicable modules such as relaxation exercises, autobiographical exercises and psychoeducation are included. These can be used as part of the treatment for a wide range of conditions.

How do I know which VR module to choose for my patient?
The system is designed to be user-friendly so that the modules can be easily selected using the descriptions provided in the software. This means you can get started as soon as the VR headset arrives without doing much initial reading. In addition, our professional customer service team will be happy to answer any further questions you may have.
For more information take a look at our product page.
Is the system stationary, or can it be moved?
PsyCurio is installed on a VR headset that is portable and can be easily moved to different rooms as needed.
How much space is required for the system?
A small area is sufficient. Ideally, an area of 2 x 2 m to 4 x 4 m is recommended.
Do windows or light interfere with the system's operation?
Normally, external light sources do not cause interference. Direct sunlight on the VR-Headsets should be avoided though, as it can cause problems with sensor tracking.
I already own a VR headset, can I use it?
You can, as long as your headset meets specific minimum requirements. Supported models currently (2026/05) include:
- Meta Quest 3
- Meta Quest 3s
- Pico 4 Ultra (Enterprise)
- Pico 4 (Enterprise)
Is data privacy ensured?
All personal data remains encrypted on the VR headset and is not transmitted. Optionally you can allow sending anonymous usage data to support app-development.
Does the therapist need to be present at all times during the session?
Some therapists choose to stay on-site, but it is not necessary.
